Anyone with a normal speaking voice can learn the skill of voice misdirection, and an outgoing personality, and a quick wit don’t hurt, says industry guru Clinton Detweiler.
Terry Fator’s recent win on America’s Got Talent spotlighted what some might consider an old-fashioned field.
The general public is usually unaware of the talent behind the dummies, so to speak, (sorry).
For example, Fator is a talented singer, and popular ventriloquist Paul Winchell, who began working for Disney and Hanna-Barbera as a voice-over character actor, was an entrepreneur and a prolific inventor with approximately 30 patents to his credit, including the artificial heart.
